We got most of our packing done yesterday so today we packed the last two boxes, took them all to the airport, and got them pre-weighed. They all came out within a half of a pound of the requirement, well within the margin of error. The rest of the evening was spent packing the last few things for storage and trying to clean up the house as much as possible so that we don’t leave a huge mess with Kirsten’s parents!

We are so thankful for Wes and Tammy Wells and Jamison and Juanita Fitzgerald for coming over and helping. And, of course, Kirsten’s parents for putting up with the whole circus.  The kids all got to go to Wahooz for a little laser tag and go-karts, thanks to a gift certificate from a friend.  What a fun and productive day we had!

Tomorrow’s the big day.  We’ll have the privilege of attending church in the morning then having lunch with friends and family.  Then off to the airport to begin the next phase of this adventure!

The missions conference at Treasure Valley Baptist was fantastic!  We were one of 7 missionaries there.  The spirit was good and we pray that hearts were touched for missions.  Friday night was my ordination service.  What a great privilege to have the support, confidence, backing, and commissioning from our local church.

We’ve been working on getting everything ready to leave. The items on our list are slowly being checked off.  We are down to just a few more items that “must” get done before we leave and a few more things that we would “prefer” get done.  We had a bite on the motorhome, but that fell through.  So we are praying that the motorhome will sell quickly.
We are now dealing with the emotions of leaving as well.  As much as we are excited about going, we aren’t excited about leaving.  It can be very conflicting in our hearts!  The work in New Guinea is so important and our hearts are there, ready to move forward as soon as our feet touch the ground.  It’s just hard to say goodbye to those you love!
